ColdSoul is one of the lost tracks from the studio recordings of alternative indie rock band, Pistis from Orlando, FL. We thought we would never hear these songs again after the live performances disappeared. During a studio move in Ann Arbor, MI, Nathan Goodman, producer of the album, found some discs labeled Pistis back up tracks. These tracks were never mixed and mastered. There are more being mastered now, so be sure to subscribe to the podcast to hear more songs from Pistis. Here they are for you to enjoy today and for the rest of time.

This is a music score for silent film that I composed and performed a few years ago. This musical piece was written for a silent film movie for the young film composer contest for TCM. I didn’t win, but I am pleased with what I expressed and learned in the process of composing for a silent film. Written and performed by me
, Nathan Goodman.

This electronic dance music track was recorded with inspirations of the rave and dance scene out of Detroit and Orlando in the mid 1990s. What makes Rave Song original to other electronic music is that it is performed as a live song. Each instrument when tracked was physically performed for every part, unlike most dance or electronic music which is looped based samples or midi written and recorded parts. Even the drums were recorded live on electric drum instruments and pads. The song features common techno dance instruments like synth and piano along with melodic phasing string pads and house percussive movements. Catch the groove and dance along.

This is going to be a guitar solo podcast focus today. We have an instrumental track uploaded to us from the Submit your music page on our website.
Instrumentals are often featured here at always good music, I really enjoy them. This track could almost be a video game epic ending theme. It has electronic type rhythms with metallic riffs, and orchestra instrument samples. Something in the sounds of Mini Bosses. Also this next song kinda reminds me of say…Dragon Force almost. Wait for the guitar solo in the piece. Give it a chance, and wait for it, it is definitely worth hearing, and thats why I voted this one today. This guitar solo is almost something you would hear in Dream Theater. So here it is, uploaded by Armand, this is Skelectory – Theme 43. Next we have Vigilante by Forte. This is a hard rock or metal song from about 15 years ago. The clean sound and performance of the guitar is still one of my favorite guitar solos.

Our friend Josh called this weekend to chat and catch up. His newest songs can be heard on his band camp page, The Loropetalum. He was with me the first time I entered Brooklyn, NY and New York city. Brooklyn has also been on my mind this week with the news of MCA passing away. So today’s podcast is the Brooklyn Bridge song by New to You. Written by Josh Harden and arranged by Nathan Goodman.
